Bopomofo fonts
Here are some traditional Chinese fonts that I made for teaching bopomofo to children. These took some time to make, but they were my first fonts so they still have room for improvement. Please feel free to send me a message if you have any helpful suggestions for how to improve them.
You can type them in both English mode and Traditional Chinese mode. Both have advantages, English mode is quicker as you don't need to worry about it suggesting Hanzi words, but traditional mode will allow you to keep the bopomofo if you change fonts to another Zhuyin Fuhao compatible font. However, either way you should be able to change to another one of my fonts.
CAT MAT BPMF Font 1: Thick with angular corners
This bopomofo font is great for titles and headings. It is useful for stories for children's books and more. I recommend spacing out the characters by yourself to achieve perfect kerning.
This is the first font is free for personal use, please feel free to send a message regarding suggestions for improvement.
CAT MAT BPMF Font 2: Learn to Write Zhuyin
This font is bopomofo font is dotted with arrows and numbers for tracing to learn stroke order of the characters.
This font is my favorite font to use as it is particularly useful for worksheets and the spacing is great. Extremely useful for parents, teachers or adult learners looking to learn to write bopomofo (Zhuyin Fuhao). Children are supposed to learn to write like this in first grade of elementary school, but the reality is that they should be able to write before school and not all kindergartens will teach it. Practice at home with this font.
I made this font for my Bopomofo worksheets, it is available to download by Patreon supporters.
CAT MAT BPMF Font 3: Thick Rounded
This font is thick with rounded corners. It is useful for titles and headings for children's books and stories.
CAT MAT BPMF Font 4: Square
This font is thick with mostly square corners. It is useful for titles and headings for children's books written in bopomofo, though it could also be seen as an equivalent to 'print' hand writing in English.
